A breakthrough in non-addictive, non-drug treatment for relief and management of chronic and acute pain, ODIN 1® harnesses intrinsic electrical currents in the body to produce an analgesic effect.
Non-neurological conductive pathways, including connective tissues, charged biochemicals and ions that move through lymphatic channels and venous and arterial vessels, naturally conduct currents of electrons and ions throughout the body.
The ODIN 1® works by using ultra low current waveforms, different from all other commercialized medical devices, to deliver the appropriate electric field gradient. This electric field exists throughout the entire volume of tissue between the two placed electrodes, which constitutes the entire body, because electrodes are placed either on the wrists or ankles. We believe that this theoretical mechanism of action induces an anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect, in addition to the inhibition of pain signals transmitted through the nervous system that is characteristic of other treatment approaches
Current applications
Approved and intended for temporary symptomatic relief and management of chronic intractable pain and as an adjunctive treatment in the management of post-surgical and post-traumatic pain, ODIN 1® is ideal for certain pain types, including:
- Pain associated with the residual and/or post-traumatic withdrawal symptoms of opiate-addicted patients during detox treatments
- Chronic intractable pain associated with:
- Arthritis, fibromyalgia, post-surgical pain of orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain
- Psoriasis and other related dermatological conditions
- Non-healing wounds, as well as pain associated with post-traumatic and post-surgical procedure wounds
- Acute and chronic pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries
